At SkinVision, we’re passionate about helping you monitor your skin’s health with ease. Our Smart Check feature uses advanced camera software to examine skin spots, but sometimes certain spots might be tricky to analyze accurately. Here’s what could affect a skin spot’s check:
- Obstructions: If the spot is covered (think hair, tattoos, or any fluids), it might hide from our camera’s view.
- Tricky Locations: Spots near or on skin folds (like by your ear, near your belly button, or on a lip) can pose a challenge. Our image recognition might find it hard to distinguish the spot from its creasy neighbors.
- Contrast: For our tech to spot the difference, there needs to be enough contrast. If a skin spot blends too much with your skin tone (a light spot on light skin or a dark spot on dark skin), it gets tougher to assess.
- Close Skin Spots: When multiple skin spots are partying too close together (like moles or eczema patches), it's difficult for our system to focus on the one that needs attention.
If your skin spot falls into one of these categories, you can still use our manual mode to perform a skin check (Note: The Standard Check is not available in the Netherlands).
