Your SkinVision account is strictly personal. It is designed to store and track your own skin checks, just like a medical file at your doctor's office. For privacy and legal reasons, we do not recommend taking photos of other people with your account.
If you'd like to help a family member or friend, please encourage them to create their own account. This keeps their photos and data secure, private, and medically accurate.
Why does each person need their own account?
Every SkinVision account contains sensitive medical information that is linked directly to the individual user, such as age, gender, skin type, and questionnaire results. Our service uses these personal characteristics to provide a more accurate medical evaluation of skin spots.
Keeping accounts separate is important for several reasons:
- Privacy and Confidentiality: Mixing multiple people's data in one account challenges guaranteeing privacy.
- Medical Accuracy and Evaluation: personal characteristics are taken into account when providing a medical risk assessment.
- Legal and Compliance Requirements (GDPR): Under the General Data Protection Regulation, we are legally required to ensure that personal health data is stored securely and separately for each user. Using one account for multiple people would breach these rules.
What if I already uploaded someone else's photos in my account?
Don't worry. If this has happened, we kindly ask that the other person creates their own account moving forward. That way, they can keep their skin checks safe, private, and easy to monitor.
If needed, you can reach out to our support team for instructions on how to delete pictures from your account at support@skinvision.com.
