How does the risk assessment work?

SkinVision’s clinically validated algorithm has been developed and tested in cooperation with dermatologists and is trained to assess photos of skin spots based on signs of skin cancer. The photos are processed through a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), a class of neural networks that is particularly suitable for classification tasks on image data. The algorithm provides an indication to label the level of risk of the specific skin spot. Based on the risk class, low, low (with symptoms) and high risk, the service we provide a supportive recommendation on the next steps to take.
