Hemangiomas are benign growths that form from a clumping of blood vessels. They usually appear on the skin or sometimes on internal organs, especially the liver. They are normally present at birth and rarely cause symptoms. Hemangiomas often resemble birthmarks and can range in color from port-wine to red-blue to salmon.
